Kitchen Porter, Supermacs (Sligo)

Whilst at Supermacs in Sligo, I maintained the cleanliness of the kitchen applicances, the kitchen itself and the building itself.

July 2021 - Present

Shop Assistant, Dunleavy's

In the last two years of working as a shop assistant in this job, I have developed my social and communication skills to a higher level. In this job, I am in charge of either opening or closing the shop, maintaining its cleanliness and assuring every item is well stocked and faced off.

EDUCATION

September 2013 - June 2019

Secondary School, Grange Post Primary

Completed second level education at Grange Post Primary in Sligo. Junior and Leaving Certificates with 100% pass completeion of every subject. Leaving Cert includes 350 Points with a H3 in Higher Level English and a H2 grade in Higher Level Music.

September 2020 - May 2023

Bachelor's Degree of Arts, Media Studies (Maynooth University)

For the last three years, I have endeavoured in my tenure into third level education in Maynooth University, with a major in Media Studies and a minor in English where I have earned my Bachelor's Degree. In June of this year, I achieved a 2/1 honours grade in Media Degree.

MY SKILL SET

COMMUNICATION

I love communicating with people, it’s part of what is needed in my current job and it’s certainly a strength of mine which will help me in the fields I wish to earn a career in the future, after I graduate as a Media student.

SCREENWRITING

A skill which I never knew I had until I discovered my newfound love for screenwriting. I have written screenplays in the past two years and it is a line of work which I know I can succeed in.

GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION

A skill of mine which I know is necessary for succeeding in the field of sports journalism. Every time I write a sentence, I am driven to ensure every word is spelled correctly and the punctuation is flawless.
